Instructor replies

This morning an email reply from the instructor awaited me in my mail box. It is of course regarding my question which I sent yesterday. The short answer is to abandon the filter and just use <jsp:include>. I didn't want to do this because using banner/footer filters were emphasized as good-practice. Well, at least for everything in the past except JSF. With that said, the long answer is that he couldn't answer in detail because he was outside and was also getting ready to travel abroad. He will be back in two weeks and would then discuss this in detail.
